Recently Elon Musk launched his own version of Wikipedia where the only author is his own AI Grok.

Let’s explore on five topics (GamerGate, Bluesky, a bonus one, Elon Musk and Brigitte Macron) the problems with Grokipedia. With some reactions.

GamerGate minimized

Let’s start with GamerGate, a far right movement, that is transphobic, and so on. One of the grifters Mark Kern (known on X as Grummz) said that Grokipedia tells the truth, well, no not exactly, the mention of the problematics of this Gate is deleted.

Even the Zoë Quinn situation is altered, the context is missing, which is weird for a encyclopedia! And it goees on the grifters version of the history!

It misses some parts about the GamerGate scandal or reduces it and split it in several pieces. For an encyclopedia being neutral and nuanced is important especially in Europe with the regulations (we’ll talk about that later on the article). No let’s go on the reactions, Mark Kern applaused Grokipedia claiming that it is factually, whereas in reality it isn’t.

Bluesky

On Wikipedia the encyclopedia talks about the platform and his popularity, whereas on Grokipedia it talks about the platform and his issues.

Both platform are at least factual but Grokipedia’s page is less detailed than Wikipedia. Oh and Grokipedia attacks Bluesky with the censorship story.

Now let’s compare our bonus comparison : Jay Graber’s pages on both platforms. The Wikipedia’s page is empty compared to Grokipedia but Grokipedia talks about Bluesky’s bias which is a goal against X.

Brigitte Macron

Brigitte Macron’s pages are both interesting because I want to see if Grokipedia is gonna making an page full of conspiracy theories and altering the fact and it surprisingly doesn’t!

Again the Wikipedia’s page is empty but that’s normal it’s meant to be ordered if you want to see the conspiracy theory against her, just type it in the search box, where Grokipedia is a lot of informations disordered.

Elon Musk

The big piece, the founder of Grokipedia has is page missing some facts (the books and the emerald mine (which is factual according to his father).

For an encyclopedia it is weird to have some informations deleted or altered.

The legality in European Union

In the EU we have a lot of rules and laws, and Grokipedia doesn’t respect that. Which is important, it looks like that Elon Musk is preparing the technocracy in the the world.
